This Privacy Policy describes how user data is collected, used, stored, and protected by the iDocCar Helper browser extension (hereinafter, “the Extension”), developed to facilitate the creation and updating of records in the iDocCar application.

This policy applies exclusively to the use of the Extension and is independent of the general privacy policy of the iDocCar application.

1. Data Controller

iDocCar is the data controller responsible for the processing of personal data collected through the iDocCar Helper browser extension.

2. Personal Data Collected

2.1 User personal data

Email address.

Authentication data required to grant the user access to iDocCar services, such as temporary session tokens generated during login.

Passwords entered by the user are not permanently stored by the Extension nor shared with third parties other than those required for iDocCar authentication.

Authentication data is used exclusively for:

• to authenticate the user,
• to allow access to iDocCar services,
• and to enable the creation or modification of files requested by the user.

iDocCar Helper does not use authentication data for advertising, profiling, or browsing tracking.

2.2 Vehicle sales order details

• Information included in the sales order.
• PDF document of the vehicle sales order.
• Data required to create or update a file associated with the vehicle.

3. How Data Is Collected

Personal data is collected through:

• A login form used by the user to authenticate.
• Vehicle sales orders provided by the user.
• PDF documents voluntarily uploaded or selected by the user.

4. Purpose of Data Processing

The collected data is used exclusively to:

• Allow user authentication.
• Create and update vehicle files within the iDocCar application.
• Enable communication with the iDocCar application via a proprietary API.

5. Legal Basis for Processing

Personal data is processed in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR), based on:

• The performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures.
• The user’s consent, expressed through the use of the Extension.

6. Data Storage and Retention

• Data is stored temporarily in Chrome browser local storage.
• Data is retained only while the user session remains active.
• No permanent storage is performed within the Extension.

7. Data Sharing and Third Parties

• Personal data is not shared with third parties.
• Data is transmitted exclusively to the iDocCar application via a proprietary API.
• No data is sold, rented, or transferred to third parties.

8. Data Security

Appropriate technical and organizational measures are implemented to protect personal data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

9. User Rights

Users have the right to:

• Access their personal data.
• Request rectification or deletion.
• Request restriction or object to processing.
• Request data portability, where applicable.

iDocCar reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy. Any changes will be published at the same URL.
